About me

I'm Martin, and my photography journey began at the age of 17 in the year 2000 with a Minolta SLR. Progressing into the digital realm, my first digital camera was the Nikon D200. I shared my initial works on DeviantArt, and in April 2012, I embraced Instagram with its brand-new Android version. The platform quickly recognized my contributions, featuring me and my photography on the "suggested user list." After years on Instagram and numerous posts across various accounts, I've circled back to the essence of "mobile" photography. The fusion of my photography skills with "innovative vintage gadgets" led to the inception of NFT2000 in early 2022.

About the project

Step into the past with my project, NFT2000, as it transports you to the year 2000. Using the world's inaugural wrist camera watch, I capture unique moments that evoke the essence of that era. It's an experience reminiscent of how James Bond might have felt in the year 2000.

About the watch

The WQV-1 is the original Wrist Camera from Casio that was first released in September 2000. The watch was initially sold in two versions, both had the same technical specifications except that one had a resin case and strap whilst the other had a stainless steel one. This watch is the first digital camera watch in the world and so for that fact has both innovative and perhaps one day historical value. With the watch you can take and store up to 100 monochrome with a combined storage of 1Mb!
